Adv. Maayan Calev heads the intellectual property practice at Konforti Rotem & Co. and is experienced in Intellectual Property, Data Privacy and Data Protection consulting.
Ms. Maayan Calev specializes in all aspects of intellectual property law including copyrights, patents, trademarks and designs. Ms. Maayan Calev advises big and small corporations in all terms of commercial affairs, including ongoing representation and consultation referring, among others, to protection strategies, registration procedure, opinions in various intellectual property issues, managing client’s portfolios in the fields of patents, designs, trademarks, domain names as well as commercialization of intellectual property.
Her practice includes, among others, representation and legal advice in all aspects of intellectual property law including proceedings conducted before courts and Patents Trademarks and Designs Authorities both in Israel and abroad.
In addition, Ms. Maayan Calev specializes in all aspects of Data Privacy laws and regulations in Israel. Her practice includes, among others, database registration procedure, privacy policies, privacy and data protection compliance, counseling and opinions in various privacy issues.
As part of her vast commercial experience, Ms. Maayan Calev practices M&A transactions and provides legal counsel to companies regarding various commercial and intellectual property law matters.
Ms. Maayan Calev is also experienced in intellectual property and commercial litigation. Her experience includes a broad spectrum of litigation, inter alia, copyrights infringement, trademark infringement, design patent infringement, passing off and unjust enrichment.
Ms. Maayan Calev lectures at academic and professional forums (such as the Israeli Valley College, Shenkar College of Engineering and Design and TechnoArt innovation & creation Center) on various intellectual property fields including copyrights, patents, trademarks and designs.
Ms. Maayan Calev owns Master’s Degree in LL.M. (Magna Cum Laude) from the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya (2016). Ms. Maayan Calev wrote her thesis on Copyrights law (“Access to Creative Works for Disabled People: A Right, Not a Privilege Nor a Case of Charity”).
Ms. Maayan Calev was an intern in Caspi & Co’s Commercial Litigation department in 2009. After admitting to the Israel Bar Association on 2010, from 2011 to 2012, Ms. Maayan Calev was an associate at Levy, Abadi, Evron, Presenti & Co’s Intellectual Property department. Following a merger, from 2012 to 2014, Maayan was an associate at M. Firon & Co’s Intellectual Property department. Ms. Maayan Calev joined the firm in 2014.
